I'd be really careful with the selenium - it's easy to overdose and kill the animal on that stuff... even if it's mixed with vitE

Pine and Cedar can give off fumes which can kill your ducklings. I never use these for any animal. I only use Aspen for my critters. If you don't know what's in the bag of shavings I wouldn't use it because there are woods that will kill animals and it's likely that there is a cedar or pine culprit causing the issue.

Are you sure their drinking water is deep enough to keep their nostril clean? Ducks need deep enough water to submerge their whole heads/faces.
