At first we were told that the ducklings could swim in a little pot okay so we have a nice bin for
them to swim in they're babies now what do we do when they start to grow.of course they haven't even reached their fledging state yet and are only about a week old. But I like to keep things very well planed. We have a pond building kit so should we use should we use that if so how big do we make the pond we also have a river on our property it is quite large do you think they will run off if we put them on the river. So what should we do I heard of kiddy pools but Is that big enough.

So, ducks don't actually need a pond to be happy, but some breeds sure do enjoy it! If you're planning to make a pond then great. However, all they need is a water source deep enough to dunk their beaks and up to their eyes into as this is important for cleaning. This is the reason kiddy pools are so popular for ducks.
