She shouldn’t be nasty to them unless she accidently stepped on them she maybe nasty to who ever is messing with them. It’s her responsibility to protect her ducklings, that’s why she will be on the defensive. So if you can keep thing as quiet and unstressful as possible when with her and ducklings that would be best

Congrats on the new babies! I just had my first 4 hatch a little over a week ago. I’m not sure what you’re using for their water but prepare for them to get it filthy. I have to clean my out every few hours.

As long as you keep everything clean and they have food and water they’ll be fine. Mine just run around all over with their mom trying to keep up, ha ha
