I have 1 Peking and 2 Indian runners. That spend more time trying to get in the chicken coop than, in the pond witch is 200 feet away across the field. I feed them in the pond and all but they rarely swim. I don't know what gives

How big is the pond, and are there snapping turtles or other predators around? Is there any cover for them to hide from hawks near the pond? I feel that if my ducks don't want to be somewhere, there is a very good reason.

Like 1.5 acres you can see the coop from the pond and I raised them with the chickens high grass all around with trees and no turtles that I have seen. Had ducks years ago didn't have this problem
