South Carolina gets ants... lots of ants and ant hills. I learned the hard way years ago that you have to spray for them or they overtake your home.

I'm guessing that the poison that treats the ants would be deadly and bad for ducks.

I'm wondering if that means I cannot have ducks--- I can't let ants over take my home. Do the ducks deal with them?

Can I put the antkiller a good ten feet away from the parameter of the enclosed yard they will be in and count on them being safe?

Do I have to worry about the termite treatment I had done a year ago?

Thanks for being patient with all of my questions... wanting to do this right...

I'm in Georgia and I totally know what you mean. I do get ants in their run but I don't do anything about it. I'll break up the mound and just run and hope I don't get bit. The ducks don't seem that interested in eating the ants but they don't seem to bother them either.
