Ducks and crows

Well I’m going to tackle this again in about a months time. I’ll keep them locked up till then. I cant put a net over top as it’s a whole paddock they have. Maybe I need to find an aggressive rooster. I have one gosling from a horrendous geese egg hatch attempt, hopefully when he grows he will chase away... the dogs chase everything but the crows. The duck that was attacked is still alive and I think his head swelling has gone down some too.

what kind of a dog do you have? I was thinking about you getting some kind of livestock guardian dog like Great Pyrenes or Anatolian Shepherd that could just stay with them all day and would protect everyone.

We just have a kelpie and fox terrier. Maremmas are good for job you’re after. I’ve seen them sitting in paddocks. Or even alpaca. I need to train Kelpie before I can get anymore animals...

I had to look up what a kelpie was. I've got 2 border collies and apprently they are similar to them. I could put my 9 month old BC in the duck run and she'd be fine and keep anything out except her favorite thing is to eat duck poop and that just about makes me sick! Plus I can't imagaine that it's very good for her.
