Ducks and geese interbreeding

Geese and ducks can eat the same feed and can live together pretty well except during mating season when ganders get ornery and so do drakes my two have a go at it at least 3-4 times a week. Geese are grazers Muscovys love bug hunting but both can eat a feed formulated for all poultry like Purina Flock Raiser. I don’t house the two together they each have their own houses.

Hi! I have two Chinese Geese that I have had since goslings. They just turned one year a few days ago. I also have ducks and chickens and we feed a great pelleted feed from Nutrena called “All flock”. The feed is for adult Chickens/Ducks and Geese. Of course when the Geese (and Chickens/Ducks) were babies we fed the chick/gosling/duckling starter. All my babies get to free range during the day and the geese love grass and weeds. They are offered free choice grit and they eat it as they please. We also grow veggies for the entire flock. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ My two geese and did a lot of research on them and the Chinese breed before I purchased them. We haven’t had any problems with them and they are fantastic yard guards! My gander has gotten a tad aggressive but that’s because it is breeding season. Let me know if you have any questions.

The geese have their own Goose House. They free range all day with my chickens and ducks and then every night they return to their house and we lock them up. They only have separate houses because my Goose Molly cannot climb the steep ramp or make it through the entrance to the Chicken house. She needs a goose sized nesting area so my hubs built them their own Goose house, which is also ground level and she automatically goes there and lays her eggs. My Gander stands guard right outside the house until she lays her egg. They are amazing animals! My ducks also have their own Duck house that they sleep in at night.
