Its raining pretty hard right now and at times all throughout the day. Its 45 degrees now and will go up to low 50's. I let them out and I'm at work, but I'm worried about them. They have access to their house--I left food in their so it didn't get wet and their pool is under a shelter, so they can get out of the rain. I don't think they will though. Do you let them out in weather that is not great? Now I'm worried about them. Its just dark and gloomy, no wind, some lightning, no thunder(I lied, just got a big boom at work)

Ducks love water no matter where it's coming from. Mine love the rain. I wouldn't worry. How old are yours?
My Indian Runners are afraid of water that comes from a garden hose!
My other ducks (Buff Orpington, Magpie, White Layer) love if i hose them down on a hot day. Limpy, my Indian Runner drake sits in the pool while it is raining and as soon as the water from the garden hose hits him he jumps out and runs…

Mine do go in the pool while I'm filling it, the hose doesn't bother them like that. They are okay if its coming from above--I sometimes set it on hot days so its like its raining. They are not happy if I spray them with it...LOL

If I know its going to rain I put their food where it's sheltered from the rain but they don't seem to care how cold it is as long as it's raining. Their pen is open for them to go into any time they want to but they never do unless there is a predator in the area. Mine also hate the hose which makes no sense to me.
