I told him I would take care of them until he got a permanent duty station. At that point, the kitties will join him. Worst case scenario, I will have them for 3 more years. I can handle that.

I am trying to find a good way to get my 2 month old ducklings some probiotics. I wanted to strain whey out of yogurt, but I'm worried about the lactose and the calcium. I assume you have some experience using whey with your ducks now so I wanted to get your opinion. The yogurt is plain, organic, store-bought (so the milk was pasteurized). Is it safe or should I find another source of probiotics for them?

I use whey and raw ACV from time to time with my ducks. No problems at all.

No. In fact, the younger you introduce them to new things the better.
