New duck owner here. We have 2 Kahki and 4 Ancona ducks that are 8 weeks old now. We have 3 acres with two ponds on it and once in a while a couple of wild geese will land in the bigger pond. Well over the weekend we decided to take the ducks down and let them swim in the pond, but they will not get in, even with treats being thrown in water. And now the fish come after the treats which scares the ducks. YIKES! Anyway today the geese visited and we watched as they just grazed along the bank and didn't bother each other, then one of our dogs walked close which sent the geese into the pond. We thought OK maybe the ducks will follow. NO they ran like hell straight up the hill and into their pen. They are not afraid of the water in their wading pool and have been swimming from early on. So I have two questions 1) do you think the wild geese would harm them? 2) will they ever get in the pond. By the way no snapping turtles and the water is fine. The bigger pond is about 1/2 acre
