Like the worrier I am, I was able to convince my parents to allow the ducks to live indoors for now. They've been living indoors since Friday evening(Nov 29th). They do get to go outside during the day to enjoy themselves but come in before bedtime to bath before they go to sleep.
They were sleeping in the chicken coop with the chickens for a while but our cockerel has begun to kick them out whenever I tried to put them in with them.

We're still working on the duck coop but until it's completed, they'll be sleeping indoors.
They seem to be enjoying being inside the house.

They get to bathe twice a day.

Do you have any duck diapers or especially puppy pads for their living/sleeping area? From all I've heard, duck poo is a kind of biological warfare weapon. Figure nothing will get your parents to remove your ducks faster than them stinking up the house.

It is wonderful that you are able to keep them inside, but do try to disinfect the tub, etc, and keep their space as clean as possible..because, as stated above..ducks carry bacteria that you don’t want just free ranging... but I think it# wonderful that you are able to care fo4 them so much and say that the cockerel was not being nice. My chickens don’t love my ducks....so I’m glad you are making them a nice pen outside :)
