Granny's gone and done it again

Thanks! I used to have elderberry syrup but I used it all last cold a while ago lol and I need to buy some more honey. And all the other stuff. But I do have chicken noodle soup and ramen lol the full body aches are horrible. I think I have a vitamin C plus other stuff immune supplement too.
Feel better. Like I said, Ashton is sick again. Not looking so bad this morning though. He says he has a snot nose and sneezing, and, coughing. Haven't heard too much of it ..yet. Hope it stay that way.

Welp, I think i have taken over the thread enough for one morning. 😅 sorry, I get caught up in answering things posted i forget im filling up pages of only me.
Good morning and have a great day all!
I do this very often. 😜 Like, now.

But some of the Autistic and ADHD are genuinely a lot more affected. Granny sees it in Robert.
I remember when people started talking about it the 70's. I was teaching primary and the President started talking about how the kid's parents were using it as an excuse instead of discipline. I honestly didn’t know what to say.
Yes some people are worse. For me it mostly just makes me scattered and a bit socially awkward, mostly stuff to work around or deal with. Even within those like me there are alot of strategies and tips out there to make your life alot better. I don't like what its done to parenting at all though. True some forms of discipline or reactions don't work as well and can even cause harm, but thats the same for everyone. Every child needs a different approach. I dont like it when parents just decide to let the child do what they want because they cant discipline them as they expected, I think thats just running away from your parenting responsibilities. I have a son who is mildly autistic, couldn't even be held to sleep as a baby, hated touch. In many ways he is the polar opposite of me in his ways of thinking, feeling and reaction. It has taken alot of work to understand how to teach and discipline him at his needs. Granted, I know im fortunate in that he doesnt have it very bad. But still checking out or just dosing them to quietness only harms the kid.

I spent a big part of my daughter teens trying to explain to a (just short of the spectrum) over achieving teen. That - "how can you dumb down" may have been meant as a complement about your friends IQ, but sounds like criticism.
My Austin knows all about the full spectrum. Worked with young children with it, then with a group of teenagers boys! 😳 That job got the best of him. I think I shared the last straw day for him with those boys.

I just realized how many very opinionated long rambles I have put out recently, well sorry. Further evidence of my social awkwardness I suppose 😅

Good for him, although im sure that was hard on you both. I only worked with anyone very bad off once. It actually turned out very well, he went on to graduate and get married. But i don't think I could devote the time and emotion to that now, my family comes first.
