Oh this is the picture of her wound, the staining and the enclosure I fixed up

Of course it will wear off or wash off. Takes a while to get it off us too. You only have the one duck? If so maybe now that she has her own space you’d think about adding another? They really do like to have one of their own. That’s good they can all see each other keeps her from being alone.

I don’t know what kind of predators you have but I’d def think about wrapping your who little pen with hardware cloth. Raccoons, mink and weasel can get into that pen. Raccoon reaching in and grabbing mink, weasel can get through 1” opening. Nice set up other than security. And looks like the wound is at her preen gland is it around that area?

I will have to see what I have but I will definitely look into it. I actually had two Pekin ducklings is the spring until early fall. But they were super aggressive and I had to get rid of them. When I first got the chicken bug I was just wandering TSC and I asked my dad if I could bring chicks home and he said sure. We hadn’t even begun to work on a coop. And while I was there I feel in love with the ducklings and these guys who were also getting chicks told me I can raise a duckling and chicks together. So if I would’ve know they do better in pairs I would’ve gotten two. Roberta (my duck) she acts more like a chicken then a duck. She hates the baby pool I have for her.(she’ll swim in puddles around the yard) I’m not sure if I want to risk having an aggressive duck again. I have littles at home who love to play outside and with the chickens.
