My mother and I decided to embark on the experiment of raising our own mealworms, seeing as how our ducks loved the dried mealworms from the store. We had success, so we harvested our first batch, filtered the wormies out from all the frass, and excitedly went to offer this gourmet treat of live mealworms to our ducks... who merely stared at us like we were offering them something from another planet. They took one look at the live mealworms and promptly moved on. Wouldn't even try the durn things, except for one who pecked at them a bit but wouldn't eat them. I've now had the mealworms sitting in the freezer for a couple of days, guess I'll have to bake them now? Who knew ducks could be such picky eaters!?

I wonder if they'll eat them now that you've frozen them...
