so my dogs have been great with the new ducks, but now that they are about 8 weeks old my khaki campbells have started chasing and nipping my dogs. My younger dog has taken to barking at them (which makes sense, who can blame her), and has now snapped at them a couple of times. She has not made contact, but it's worrisome. Any idea how I can get these ducks to stop bothering the dogs? (aside from separating them - that's an obvious answer, but first I'd like to strive for them all to get along). We are pretty sure the ducks are two hens and a drake and the drake is the main dog biter, but not the only one.

Could be but maybe not. I have had good luck with my dog and cats including day olds, but my ducks are not aggressive with either. Don't let them be unsupervised and see if they all settle down. If not, you will need to separate.

I've never had a problem with my dogs and ducks but I sure did with my gander and dogs till 2X my med size dog had enough and grabbed my gander by the neck she didn't bite down but she let him know that was enough. Didn't deter him one bit so I started using a pole when the dogs and poultry were in the same area and taught the geese to keep a safe distance just by stopping them in their tracks when the dropped their heads ready to go after one of the dogs. I never let my poultry out with my dogs unless I am with them. Even though they have mostly been together for over 12 yrs. with many of my birds. It's just best not to get complacent.

My dogs have lived with many prey animals and never hurt any. The ducks don't act frightened of the dogs at all. In fact they will often hang out right next to them no problem. When they get it in their ducky heads to bite the dogs seems completely random. I've watched them spend 15 minutes milling around my sleeping dog and then for no apparent reason at all sneak up and bite her butt. It honestly seems more mischievous than like the act of a frightened prey animal defending itself.
I read in an older thread someone said that one day they (the human) just "quacked" really loudly at their drake who was harassing their dog and the drake never did it again lol. I am not holding my breath on this one, but I'll give it a try.
