We let our ducks out of there pen yesterday to go play in the ponds. Well at night they didn't want to go back inside so my hubby said they could just stay outside and go back in if they wanted to. Well this morning I get up and find two ducks sleeping by the pond and a goldfish between the two.
All of our fish in the pond are big fish; 24in koi, 12in koi, 6-8 in goldfish. As soon as I walk up close to them they woke up and turned to look at the fish. They had ate some of his fins and scales off but he was just to big for them to eat whole. Our female picked it up and took it in the pond with her and they both started to pick and dive after it. I never thought it would be so funny watching ducks try to eat a fish.
It was like one of them caut it then they slept with it to protect there catch and continued eating it once they woke up. Silly ducks.
