Well, he made it through the night. He’s taken refuge with some geese. The retrieval saga continues….

Unfortunately not, by the time we got on the water there was only one left . We are not having good luck.

So a predator has gotten 2 of them? And the only one left is hanging with the geese? They will fly off and this Runner will be left on its own. Maybe chase him on to the shore and have some friends there to help you get him? Someone in the canoe to try and keep him out of the river? our river is narrow it's a mountain river and most of it has steep banks but I did manage to find a place where I could set up a dog Xpen and started feeding some ducks that had gotten dumped they finally started going into the pen to eat and after about a week I was able to close up the end and catch them and bring them home.
