Ducks Don't Dig the New Coop

I try to think of it as charming.

Well, after 8 nights in the coop and a total of 6 days locked inside, the chickens all decided to go in at night. But the ducks are still outside on the ground. Will they eventually get the idea or am I wasting my time? Do I need to keep them locked up during the day or just ushering them in at night? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

P.S. I know that the ducks can climb the ramp to the house because the way we got them in last night was to create a tunnel out of vinyl lattice (that's just what we had). They went right up it without issue.

A long overdue follow up here:

The ducks did NOT decide they liked the coop. Instead, I made them a separate house on the ground. That worked very well until one of the ducks disappeared (was eaten presumably) during the day one day. The lone duck suddenly was very willing to get in the house at night rather than sleep out alone.

He did eventually start to "bother" the chickens, though, so he had to be rehomed. Just chickens now in our coop, and how much easier to deal with! I'll never mix ducks and chickens again. If I have ducks again, they'll have their own house and their own pen!

Sorry for your loss but appreciate so much getting back about the experience it will help someone else who may have that decision to make to mix chickens and ducks. .
