Ducks eating chicken feed

These two ducks have been visiting in May and April. They also came here last year at around the same time, but I haven't seen them for a few weeks now. Every time, they eat the birds' food and drink their water. Could anyone please provide information on whether it is safe for ducks to eat chicken feed?

Yes, it's fine.
If it's a layer feed, then male birds eating it all the time isn't advised but birds that stop it and eat it time to time are going to be no problem.

The male bird would just watch the female bird eat. Glad to know it's alright.
