Ducks fighting

@Miss Cheep the 2 males are vying for the top spot. It will stop eventually once one becomes the winner. Or you have to separate them. The fighting might continue depending on how many females you also have. If there aren't enough to keep 2 males content they will continue to tussle. If there is no blood or wounds, I would just let them work it out.

Thank you! That is what I will do.

I don't know. I don't think its possible for a duck to kill another one. I think his son beat him up then left him, and he died of old age, and being beat up didn't help. He was like, 8. Once he lost his bright feathers this spring he never go them back. So his son had something to do with his death.

Ducks can actually kill one another, but usually there are indications this is happening like wounds.
It is true that the younger flock members will take over the flock. Usually it happens after a fight and whichever one comes out on top is the new alpha.
Maybe something else was wrong with him and that's why he was being ostracized?
