Tonight as i was putting my 6 mallards who are 10 weeks old, two flew off and i am not sure where they went. i was planning on releasing them soon anyways but am waiting on a late bloomer to finish growing his flight feathers. Anyways, two of them took off and flew away together. They have been raised to be wild, and were rescued from the wild so i am not worried about them foraging and finding food, however they left about an hour before dark and i am wondering if they will be okay for the night? Will they come back tomorrow morning because the other four are still here?

They may be back, also because they know there is food there. But if they don't come back, it's a good time of year for them to try being on their own because of the food supply and good cover for them to hide
Update: they were back this morning and i heard some happy quacks when they reunited with the rest. Thank you for your response😊

Yaaayyy!!! It will buy you more time to prepare for the actual release... And give them more time to mature so they can survive. I'm so glad!
