ducks found the squirrel nut stash

I was out reading in the yard when I noticed my scovy walking with a giant shelled peanut in her mouth. What the heck? I went to check it out and they had found a pile of nuts. Our neighbor feeds the squirrels and deer and my little darlings managed find the secret stash...I feel bad for the squirrel but the ducks were very happy.

They had so much fun taking the shells off! I don't know if ducks are supposed to eat peanuts but I couldn't break their little hearts by taking them all away. It provided an hour of entertainment for me and the ducks.

haha well as long as the ducks are happy, thats the main thing right?.... I don't think my ducks would be smart enough to find a stash of potential food for themselves... poor things

The scovy is the huntress. she gets into everything and can feast on flies all day long! The pekin is not so smart but she doesn't have to be because she is so cute she gets whatever she wants.
