Ducks going inside early?

I guess this is weird but my ducks are lining up every day at 3:30 to go inside their barn.
They go out each morning at 6:00 am, and run around like crazy ducks all day, foraging and swimming.

i give them breakfast: pellets, peas, mealworms to share, pea treats in afternoon. They have plenty of fresh water outside every day, and acres to forage.

Maybe I’m not feeding enough during the day?

Night time food is more than daytime food, but how weird that during this beautiful weather they would want to go in so early.

How old are your ducks? Mine go in around 7 pm but I don’t let them out till almost 7:30 am hoping all eggs have been laid.

I wish mine went in by themselves, they go to bed at 9:30 and get let out at 4:30 am. So you only feed them twice a day?

Yes, but even if I didn't I'd probably still wake up around that time, maybe a few minutes later. I'm an early bird.
