Looks to me like they have YOU trained,

they try it at 12 ish but they don't get any.

enclosed with netting, it may be the treats but they stay in and are quiet

My ducks also have netting but it doesn't provide enough shade for them at certain times throughout the day. They go in their duck house for shade. They can also see any and everything flying overhead, including predators, and will take cover in their duck house something alarms them.

Oh yes I bought a Tarpaulin to put over the netting, around 4ish they tell me they want to go in, it most likely will be the treats but I thought that's a long time enclosed and it may be darkish, a little concerned they might start honking in the night.
