Ducks in Ontario

Hi! I’m thinking of a few, maybe 3 ducks for eggs and friendly yard friends. BUT I live in Ontario snd hate the cold. The idea of chipping ice off their water bowl or hauling water 3x a day is deterring me. What do other cold winter people do?

Hello, and welcome to BYC.
I use a gallon livestock heated waterer sunk into the ground for my ducks in the winter. I have tried various other ways of heating their water, and I can say that has worked the best.
