I would avoid trying to have them come in contact with it, I believe it is caustic, which means it can burn their skin.

This doesn't answer the duck question, but I had a brown bear tear open a 50lb bag of lime (for an outhouse) once and scatter it over the front cabin lawn about 20 feet. Must not have tasted that bad to him!

My step father put in on our grass and i didnt kknow and i had my muscoveys and geese out and they ate the grass and Nock on wood nothing has happened to them and it was last week

thanks for replies.. I'm wondering because hub wants to but it out on our yards, was thinking if it wasn't harmful to them, maybe spread some on duck lot to help control smell...
