Ducks mating

I was looking into getting a few free range muscovy or mallard ducks. They would live in my 5 acre pond. My only concern is if they would mate and in a few years i would have to many ducks in the pond. Do these ducks mate alot? Any advice

Scovys can produce a lot of ducklings. Have you considered getting sexed ducklings (one gender). How many were you looking to get?
