Ducks not leaving cubby house

Hi! I have 6 ducks, and at night they stay in cubbies that have been converted. In the day we let them out to run in the yard but recently they don't leave their night houses.

They stay there all day, even the males as one big flock.
I'm worried because it's not huge and it's probably better for them to be out and Running.

I even physically bring them out but an hour later they're back in the houses

Only thing I can think that's different is they've just ticked over to mating and egg laying age

Any ideas why they're doing this.

Yes the same thing happened to me as well. They will grow out of it. When we first moved our ducks to the flock they would hide under the chicken house and never come out. We had to put a barrier there to encourage them to go out and forage. But now ( our ducks are nearly 1 year old now) they run out everytime we open the gate

What bread are your ducks? Some breads can just be really skittish and won't want to come out and socialise
