I have both and I like both...the ducks are silly and a hoot to watch...the geese are more serious but also it seems, smarter...my gander, now that his girls are laying and all of that, has decided to hiss at me every so often...I hiss back at him and he kind of wanders off like he forgot what he was doing or the why of it...kind of funny...he has never attempted to bite me or anyone else...he does look after his flock of ducks and geese...and he is darned cute about it...I turned the young white chinas out with the main flock a few days ago and he, Barney the adult gander, greeted them and herded them into the main group...if they stray too far away from the main group, he will go get them and herd them back...and he has been standing over them on guard at night while they sleep...he is a better foster dad than some of the people I have known...I have never had a flock of geese before and they are darned fascinating...it has been years since I had ducks and I had forgotten how fun and funny they are...I will continue to have both and it is all in personal choice...whichever ones (or both) that make you smile the most...and all of them poop with extreme dedication and efficiency and all over the place...
