Hello so this is my first time hatching ducklings (I bought the eggs from someone local with ducks) and I track the time and when I got home tonight and went to get them ready for lock down two eggs were pipped. One was moving and kicking and another wasn't moving from what I could tell and had a dark mass on either end of the egg. Did I mess up? Is this normal? What do I do? I'm kinda freaking out cause I don't wanna mess them up and I have no clue how long they've pipped for as i went away over night this weekend and didn't check them before since with chicken eggs ( which I've hatched many times) The dont topically pip till hatch day or the day before! And I don't know any help or reassurance that is normal and what to do next as I've raised the humidity (65-70 F) and got them ready as well as I can

Before lockdown, what was your temperature & humidity, and are you sure it was accurate?

Sounds like they’re just a bit early. Ducklings are slower than chicks, usually taking 1-2 days from pip to hatch. I even had a few who took over 2 days. I’d guess yours will hatch Day 26 or 27.

Pretty sure it was accurate checked it with a different one a few times and seemed good It was always 55-65 and temperature was 99 (which was all my incubator would allow its a newer one I order since my other didnt fit duck eggs) what I told by the lady I got the eggs from and I'm assuming they may have collected the eggs possibly on different days?

Also I had an egg before lock down that look like it past in incubation but now all 6 are good is that also normal? I haven't done ducks before so this is all new, I also have some dry and damp paper towels to help keep humidity good in there since this one seems to be a bit hard to get past 63 ish I think that'll be alright? I do it for chickens sometimes
