Ducks playing ball with eggs!

Hi All,

I had set 7 large mixed breed ducks eggs of my own below a broody duck last Mon the 16th May.
All went OK with it, but earlier this week another duck decided to sit in nest beside broody one.
I had thought just to let her sit on some plastic dummy eggs and that might keep her from bothering the other duck.

Well yesterday in the morning (Thurs 26th), when i went to check on them all of the broodys were gone, the other duck had rolled them all into her nest, along with the plastic eggs, she looked at me as if to say, look what i have got, it sounds funny.

So I brought them inside, they are now in incubator, and had to sanitize some as they had dropping on them, I candled them and could see movement in all of them, just wondering if they will be OK and maybe hatch or could their be any deformities, the eggs were all my own and set fresh.

They'll be fine. Why take the eggs away from them? Split the eggs between the two and let them finish the job

I took them away as I don't want them "playing pass the parcel with the eggs", from one nest to the next, at least I know they are safe in the incubator.
