ducks - quietest to loudest

Of the ones I have:

Welsh Harlequin
Blue Swedish
Pekins (Pekin Mix)
Metzer's Golden 300

The Golden 300 are the LOUDEST...

I am not sure who the quietest are because the 300 are so loud.. LOL

But I think the Swedish might be the quietest, or the Welsh

Muscovy are quietest since no real quacking. Anything else would be individual bird. Some breeds are louder (calls) or chattier (pekin) but it all comes down to individual bird. I had Indian Runner ducks. One would not shut up. Ever. Another really made a loud quack. It just depends.

My limited experience is with runners, still, I thought it might be worth offering this tidbit: Last year, their first year, they were much louder. Zehn was the spokesduck and she would call quite frequently. They'd start making a racket when they heard my car turn onto our street (about 200 yards away).

This year, everyone is much quieter, Zwei seems to have taken over the spokesduck role to an extent, but there's just much less vocalization most of the time. When they do kick up some racket (they see me on my way with peas, for example), the next door neighbors can hear them.

I do have to say I LOVE the chatter from the Pekins! LOVE IT!

My muscovys are the most quiet.

My LOUDEST is my Welsh Harlequin hen. I can hear her a mile away.

my muscovy are really quiet. some are young still and squeek lol would be the best way to describe it. My rouens on the other hand are louder. The hens even at a young age quack loud.
