ducks/ shavings

Are shavings OK for ducklings? They seem to eat quite a few and have a little trouble with them at times. Thx Herb

Many recommend that you should cover them for the first few days with paper towels so that they know what food is and isn't. They explore with their mouths though so they will usually pick them up and mouth them. I always got large shavings so that they were not able to eat them even if they want to.

I have them covered in my ducky condo with puppy pads. Easy clean up!
