Ducks vs chickens, or ducks AND chickens?

One benefit I forgot to mention is that ducks can be sexed at a younger age and the hens start laying at 4 months old. :)

They also produce down if you like quilting and you eat your drakes. We ate our Muscovy drakes years ago but we don't have meat ducks now.
 
The chocolates are what I raised and mine were beautiful. So many chocolates, and other colors as well, end up with the pied gene which destroys the solid colors. I replaced my drakes and kept my hens but it got too hard to find nice drakes without any white markings so I moved on.
