The Frozen Wasteland of Idaho
Can my ducks go the winter without water to swim in? I know it sounds like a silly question, but it sure would make things easier around here, especially in a month when it REALLY gets cold and the daytime highs never get above freezing.

Yup! All they really need is a bucket they can dip their heads into.

My ducks have access to both a small tub- pond thing and the bucket. In the summer they prefer the tub In the winter they wont have anything to do with it They share the bucket with my ducks.

They should be fine with just a small bucket to wash their faces in.

Once in a while you could give them a small tub or dish pan full of water for them to have a bath as a treat.

I had never thought of it before you guys suggested the bucket to wash their faces but I looked at a couple of the younger ones today and wondered why their faces looked rough/dirty. Thanks for the tip!
