Hey everyone I am a newer duck owner and with cold weather coming here in New York an this being my first winter owning ducks I am looking for tips/advice on what to do for them in winter, currently they have a coop that is un insulated other than there bedding and a run my thoughts are putting heat lamp inside coop with there feeder an water an when snow comes shoveling or snow blowing there run an letting them out on nicer days. They are khaki Campbell's by the way.

Heat lamp is not really needed....They just need deep bedding to cuddle in and they can go outside in the run as they choose...I keep feed and water outside of my coop during the winter...I run heat but not so its all that warm in the coop..-24C and the heat comes on...I wrap my run in vapour barrier to keep out the wind and snow...

Hi Im new to this forum. my question is I bought two rouen ducks this year and I built a chicken/duck coop for them. but winter is coming around the corner and I have notice that my ducks are not laying eggs for the past 2 days. They have ample of water i have 3 water places around the yard and inside coop for them plenty of food. they get grain along with the wonderful buggies in yard. my question is the weather causing this? also so to how would i go about and prep their coop for winter coming?... TIA Here are some pictures of the chicken/duck coop i built a month ago.
