HI everyone just new on this Backyard Chickens, I have 4 white Indian Runner Ducks, a pair of khaki Campbell Ducks, for an experiment I put a Duck egg in a plover bird nest as she had 3 babies hatch out and my Duckling egg hatched out as well, now I have it in a small yard outside it is 8 weeks old today, when it was 2 weeks old I managed to find a lovely lady that sold me a call Duck which was brown in colour, now it is about 10 weeks old, I bought it for company for my Duckling the bird hatched out now the bought Duckling is white with black spots on it, it got out there little yard and the Ducks ignored it but the khaki Campbell drake started chasing and pecking at it, would the drake get used to it in time or not as it's a different breed, hope some one can help, if it keeps attacking when I let them both out I'll have to give it back to the lady I bought it of as it is a sort after colour, thanks for the help

I’m no expert, I’m pretty new to this myself. But I have different breeds and they all get along. From my experience pecking problems have only happened when establishing “leader”.

I’m not as experienced as some, however I do know you have to introduce them slowly. Perhaps put the new ones in a pen where they can all see one another, then slowly let the, get closer.
Look up introducing new ducks on this forum, there is some good advice.

I imagine the call duck is much smaller than the others? If so, the drake might just kill it - they do kill ducklings. You might need to keep calls and full sized ducks in separate areas - at least until the call is older. Maybe get a call duck friend so that there are two if you have room.
