My Muscovy occasionally hatched chicken eggs (since Muscovy aren’t into swimming, she was dry enough), but other duck eggs are recommended.

Hi and I have Muscovy[even a drake] love him. But I do understand some don't like them or drakes in general since they can be a pain once they get hormonal. I just happen to be one of the crazy ones who love drakes and will work at making them behave and be a good flock member.

My Muscovy drake has 4 girls of his own Muscovy,then I have Runners and Buffs and he never mates females he sticks to his own. But I have seen My Runner mate with my Muscovy girls his first hormonal year he was a wild man. All my ducks live very good with each other I even have chickens and geese in the mix. Have you thought about getting fertile duck eggs for when your girls go broody. My Muscovy females {3} sat on Runner and Buff eggs and did an awesome job hatching and raising. So I can vouch that Muscovy will live very well with Runner and Buff ducks.

The fertile eggs for the girls is my next step, although the breeding season is coming to an end here when it gets colder, if it ever gets colder, it's been one hell of a summer.
