I just couldn't wait to get home tonight and let my ducks swim, supervised, in the tank they now have in the barn. i love watching them swim, but because the chickens can drown in this deep tank, I have to cover it up when I am not around. At least my ducks get to swim and groom once, maybe twice a day.
better than not at all.

Gotta see a picture of these little ones quacking about

I have a 300 gallon stock tank for my Cayugas. Almost lost a chicken through near-drowning on a windy day, months ago. After that, I built an escape ramp out of expanded metal, so ANY animal can get out if it falls in.

I can hardly wait for the new, baby call ducks to be old enough to go outside and swim like the big ducks!!
