Interesting what kind of dogs can be ratters ? Any breed? Hire about cats?
My dog got a mouse that was in my house once. Good dog. She’sa mountain cur.
My neighbors have several cats that they let loose who basically live on my property when they are loose and they run all around the outside of my poultry area fence I think they also been catching mice/rats out there cause I haven’t seen one in years now praise the Lord!

This!! Add poultry-friendly predators. My dogs, cat and Roos work together to guard the flock and get rid of all sorts of pests. The chickens handle ticks and fleas, the dogs handle other predators and food thieves, the cat handles smaller rodents. They all get along well. We live in a rural wooded area with fields and a lake nearby. These guys do their jobs and seem to love it
