Due tomorrow - Can they count? Day 23 Pips? Hatch!

Tomorrow's day 18, have 47 eggs in the bator (including some chicken eggs I set 5 days before, so I could make sure the bator was functioning) Thought i heard peeping last night, but so far no pips yet.

I'll be offering photos up tomorrow, Mr Saddi, being the indulgent old thing he is, made me a rather elegant cage for them. I took some photos tonight, but need to rummage up the cable for it.

I know everyone else is talking about how sweet they are, etc, and I'm sitting here thinking marinated pepper and balsamic reductions for sauces.

You can do quail au vin instead of using a rooster for Coq au vin. Quail is somewhat earthy fowl, and I'm thinking that a grilled mushroom and cream sauce would pair well.
