Duke Study Links High Fructose Corn Syrup to Liver Damage

No wonder I started feeling so much better once I gave up the soda pop. I was a soda pop junkie to say the least. I switched to unsweetened ice tea about a year ago and I feel so much better. More energy and less moody and all around healthier. I quit drinking it to lose weight but who knew there would be so many other benefits to leaving that crap at the store.

Oh, I enjoy my coffee with milk and no sugar. I also have maybe 1 soda a week. I don't do McD's anymore... my poor daughter is bummed, but she's not allowed to have their mcnuggets (they have actual butane on them, lighter fluid!!!).

They put that nasty HFCS in everything these days. The government pays out HUGE amounts to farmers to grow all this extra unedible corn to give to cows (don't get me started on that) and then process the rest of the unedible stuff to add to our food supply. If you can't eat it in its natural form, how can you eat it after its been processed REPEATEDLY with CHEMICALS and think its OK.

Everytime I see those commercials about "Ok in moderation" I want to shoot the guy who produced them!

What are you thinking? Lying yet again to the public who are over weight riddled with health issues and can't seem to afford the food that is actually going to help us!

I was all for the healthcare reform, but I don't think we could need it and most of us wouldn't need SO much healthcare if we just stopped eating anything with processed corn in it. I wish we could just go burn down all corn crops and try a whole new way of living in the US.

Don't forget MSG that mass murders your brain cells! We are trying to grow all our own food this year. Ever since DD has been on the no MSG diet I have lost and KEPT OFF 15 pounds. There's a good reason to go back to whole foods and not processed garbage. I think I'd rather LITERALLY eat out of the garbage than eat some of that junk!
