Duke's Mayonnaise

the website has it! if your store carries the mayo, they should be able to order the tartar sauce!

i owe you! you hooked me up with the notion to try the stuff.

only 13 days max until i get some! i almost ordered tartar sauce and sandwich spread. i figure if i like the mayo, it's all getting ordered!

Another Michigander here who hasn't tried the Almighty Duke's Mayonnaise. (Of course, you can't hate too much, as I doubt you've tried the delicious taste of Vernor's or eaten a bowl of my all-time fave, Blue Moon ice cream...that's a flavor, not a brand, by the way. Hee hee!

).

In my fridge, I currently have Hellman's and Miracle Whip. I prefer Miracle Whip on sandwiches because it has a bit of a kick to it.

I'm interested in the mayo, but before I order that, I've got to order me a bottle of Stancato's Italian dressing from Cleveland, OH. Mmm, Stancato's.

Out here on the west coast... never heard of any of them here.

Then again... we don't eat sandwiches much and so don't actually have any in the fridge. Got oyster sauce though... not quite the same.

We only buy Miracle Whip. You remember that commercial? "A sandwich just isn't a sandwich without the tangy zip of Miracle Whip salad dressing." That was me pounding on the door just as the store closed. Miracle Whip is an essential ingredient.

You missed the point.

It is NOT mayonnaise. It is salad dressing.

No I didn't. I don't care for mayonnaise. Salad dressing was invented to be a cheaper alternative to mayo as a sandwich spread, fake mayo if you will, and they are pretty much interchangeable, although they do taste somewhat different and people typically prefer one over the over.

Ah, Vernor's is fantastic, my grandparents used to bring us some every time they came out to visit. What about Sanders Hot Fudge? Yummy!

Former Michigander here, moved to New England when I was seven, but went back and forth many, many times until my grandparents were no more. I miss them - and Michigan!
