Dumb Chickens and duck won't return to the coop

Last night I let them out a bit before sunset for the first time and they chose to roost on the fountain...

Do I need to put the ramp under the coop? Right now thats where they are hanging out despite a bunch of yummy mealworms in the coop. I have it leading down from the front door now but they don't seem to understand it. If its under the coop will their simple brains perceive a way home?

chickens like to roost where it is the most comfortable (weather conditions) was it to hot in the coop? I'm sure as the weather turns cooler they will head for home

it is a little warmer in the coop but its far from hot here, mid 80s at worst

OMG they are fast! 2nd night they forgot all about the coop. But they were a little more lively tonight. May have to fence the bottom of the coop so they get used to the ramp.
