dumb duck questions

If I wanted to raise ducks for meat
a) what is the best breed
b) what kind of housing do they need. will a chicken run work or do they need a "pond"

I would do the pekins for meat and mine do fine in a chicken run/coop with a kiddie pool!

However, ducks are more messy than a chicken so you want to make sure they have adequate space!
