Go here, put in the word and turn up your volume. Have you ever seen a real cuckoo clock? The bird says Coo-coo. I grew up around one. Ever heard the Cocoa Puffs commercial "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!"? And I was just kidding about the yankee thang, LOL.

Well, my county here in Ga has mostly Yankees who came from NY, by way of Florida, LOL.

Anyway, the pronunciation is coo-coo.
