Dumb question alert - about pullet eggs

Won't they be stunted? The eggs are so small for a while...I don't know, but I'd be worried they would always be runty?!?

My chicks have always hatched out nicely from pullet eggs.

I myself have never tryed hatching pullets eggs, not saying some dont have great hatches doing it. I just have no need to use pullet eggs since I have enough hens laying !!

I also hatched out a load of silkies, and barred bearded olive eggers, and some mille fleur/mottled cross bantam cochin eggs too. All from pullet eggs, since that is all I have because I started getting eggs and chickens in March of just this past year. None have been stunted. I have free fed Purina Start 'N Grow, blended dry to a powder at first, then later switched to straight from the bag. People who have seen them have dropped their jaw at how big they got so fast. One of my CBM pullets hatched in mid September and she is already growing fluffy pants, clucking, starting to pink up quite a bit around the wattles, eyes and comb. She is coincidently one of the 'fridge' eggs too. Here is a pic of her at around eight weeks old. She does NOT look stunted to me!

I had a horrible experience with trying to hatch pullet eggs. That said I have 2 in the bator now that are the first and 3rd egg my japanese bantam hen laid. I broke the 2nd one. I carried it around in my pocket all day and showed it to people. Then set it in the carton on the counter, went to take a pic, and tipped the carton off the counter.

Unfortunately she didn't lay a 4th for 2 more days because I was hoping to set 3 and have less risk of a single chick.

I would normally wait until the eggs get larger, but I'll tell you what, you just send me a few of those and I'll do the dirty work and check it out for you.
