Dumb question - Can you eat slightly incubated eggs?

Ok, I did the water test with some of my eggs that aren't developing. Out of two eggs that were on day 10, one floated and one sank. I also used an egg that was on day 6. It sank. I then opened up the two that sank to fry them up for the chickens. Both eggs yolks were totally flat and without shape. Does this mean that they are bad?

Here in the summer if they've been in the coop for more than a day... they go into the garbage.

Eggs at 3+ days of around 100 degrees? No way.

I wouldn't feed those to anyone or anything. Perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

I scramble clears and feed to the dogs and/or chickens...not for human consumption...not in my house at least.

Up until the 1960's infertile/clear eggs from hatcheries were sold to bakeries by the millions to be used in bread and pastries. I would not eat them but they should be fine hard boiled for chicks, chickens and other animals.

Agree with redcatcher... I wouldn't eat them but I'd for sure scramble them back to the chickens. Good source of protein and a lot of animals have a LOT stronger guts than humans do. People can say 'bacteria' all they want, but I've seen chickens eating plenty of things I'd never feed to a human and be fine.
