Dumb Question?

If you have a window in your coop and you cover it with hardware cloth, how do you open and close the window?

If you open the window from the inside put the hardware cloth on the outside, and vice-versa.

What we did for windows in our coop is hubby made a frame that fits into the window and stapled/nailed ? the hardware cloth on and then screwed the whole square into the window frame itself ....so I just had to unscrew it for easy cleaning...
...to keep the rain/snow/high winds out we used a piece of plexy glass drilled holes into the corners during the winter we screwed it down and adjusted it so some air got in and during the summer we hang the plexy glass on nails in the top two corners over the window and use a stick to open it at the bottom ...so no rain gets in but they still get alot of air flowing in....and on hot days/nights I can take the plexy glass off....
some people have bought old windows also....Hope that helps...if you want a photo let me know....
