dumb silkie question

I disagree, I have three chicks here from that same pen that are all white, hatched out a little yellow, just like yours and are now feathering out white.
my buffs all have black in them, and hatch with partridge stripes.
I would be happy to send you pics.
please send me your email tgrlily and I will send you pics of the little ones here that are feathering.

you are absolutely correct and if I had really nice buffs, they wouldn't have any black at all would they?
I have pet buffs. they have black on them when they are born.

I was not trying to start a problem & I never brought your name into it. I was handling it off the board.
The 3 white ones are a little yellow. The other 2 are not "a little" yellow. If they were human, I'd call the color light sandy blonde. I'm a master colorist & see pigment very clearly. My 16 year old also asked why the chicks were buff since I just bought buff eggs this week.

Sorry--she's buff; definitely not white. The ones that have yellowish down are exactly that--pale yellow. Yours is buff
